Can anyone give me advice on making inexpensive centerpieces? I think I want to do them myself this time. I've been to Michael's and seen the styrofoam balls and am thinking I'll spray them with glitter or something and put some candy around it (that's our theme). Anyone done this before?

Wondering if anyone else is having issues like I am and would love to hear your thoughts! DS's barmitz is in November and already I am having issues with my MIL. (This isn't new, LOL). Basically's she's newly widowed and seeing someone for about 2 months. I'm happy for her. But now she's asking us to invite a large group of his friends plus several of his relatives! I've only met him once and we just don't have the resources. I hate to "engage" with her on sticky issues but how can I get out of this politely. DH is staying hands-off.
